Chocolate Banana Cream Pie
Prep Time: 30 minutes
Ingredients:
4 ounces of bittersweet chocolate
2 small packages of chocolate cook and serve pudding and pie filling
3 cups of milk
3 mashed bananas
1 cup of heavy cream
2 tablespoons of powdered sugar
1 baked pie shell
banana slices--optional
Cook Time: 40 minutes
Directions:
Chop 1 ounce of chocolate very fine for the topping. Chop the other 3 ounces of chocolate and drop into a saucepan. Add the pudding mixes into the saucepan and slowly stir in the milk. Cook over medium heat until the mixture boils. Remove from the heat and stir in the bananas. Pour into the pie shell. Refrigerate 4 hours. Beat the sugar and cream together until stiff. Spread over the pie filling and sprinkle the remaining chocolate shavings on the top. Add the bananas for garnish. Yield: 8 servings
