Chocolate Cherry Rolls
Prep Time: 15 minutes
Ingredients:
18 ounces of semi-sweet chocolate chips
14 ounces of sweetened condensed milk
6 ounces of chopped candied cherries
1 teaspoon of almond exract
1 1/2 cups of chopped slivered almonds
Cook Time: 2 1/2 hours
Directions:
Melt the condensed milk and chocolate chips in a saucepan over low heat. Remove from the heat and stir in the cherries and extract. Chill for 30 minutes. Place half of the mixture on a 24-inch piece of wax paper.
Shape into a 12-inch roll and roll it around in the nuts. Wrap tightly and chill for 2 hours or until firm. Repeat for the second half. Remove from the refrigerator and remove the paper and cut into a 1-inch slice. Store covered in the refrigerator. Yield: 24 servings
