Chocolate Fruit Snacks
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Ingredients:
1/2 cup of margarine
1 tablespoon of cocoa
3 cups of bite-size crisp rice cereal
2 cups of toasted oat cereal
3 cups of bite-size crisp wheat cereal
2 tablespoons of sugar
1/2 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
1 cup of cashews or your preferred nuts
1 1/2 cups of dried fruit bits
1 cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips
Cook Time: 15 minutes
Directions:
Place margarine in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave on high 1 minute or until melted. Stir in the cereals, cocoa, sugar, cinnamon, and nuts until evenly coated. Microwave on high for 3 separate minutes and stir after each minute. Stir in the fruit and repeat the above step. Cool completely then stir in the chocolate chips. Store in a sealed container in a dry and cool area. Yield: 11 servings
