Chocolate Petite Blossoms
Prep Time: 30 minutes
Ingredients:
1/2 cup of shortening
3/4 cup of creamy peanut butter
1/3 cup of sugar
1/3 cup of brown sugar
1 egg
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
3 tablespoons of milk
1 1/2 cups of all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon of baking soda
16 ounces of semi-sweet chocolate chips
Cook Time: 10 minutes
Directions:
Combine the shortening, and peanut butter, stirring well. Add both sugars, egg, milk, and vanilla into the peanut butter mixture until well blended. In a separate bowl, mix the flour, baking soda, and salt. Combine the dry mixture into the peanut butter mixture, stirring until blended.
Roll into 1/2 inch balls. Place onto an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake in a preheated 350 degrees oven 10-15 minutes or until done. Press chocolate chips into the center of each cookie. Yield: 168 servings
