Chocolate Sugary Cookies



Prep Time: 20 minutes

Ingredients:
7 ounces of semi-sweet
chocolate chips
3 1/2 ounces of margarine
2/3 cup of sugar
3 eggs
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups of flour
1/4 cup of unsweetened cocoa
1/2 teaspoon of baking powder
1 1/2 cups of powdered sugar
for coating



Cooking Time: 1 1/2 hours

Directions:
On low heat....combine the chocolate chips and margarine into a saucepan and stir until smooth. Remove from the heat. Stir in the eggs, and vanilla. Blend well.
In a separate bowl....mix the cocoa, salt, and baking powder. Add the dry ingredients into the chocolate mixture. Blend well. Cover the dough and refrigerate for 1 hour or until the dough holds a shape.
Pour the powdered sugar into a bowl. Roll the dough into 1 inch balls and coat each ball in the sugar. Place the balls onto a greased baking sheet.
Bake the cookies in a preheated 350 degrees oven for 10 minutes or until done.
Yield: 38 servings
