Chocolate Dipped Pretzels
Prep Time: 15 minutes
Ingredients:
1 cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 tablespoon of shortening
24 thick dutch-style pretzels
any topping: sprinkles, cookie crumbles, chopped nuts, etc.
Cook Time: 30 minutes
Directions:
Place the chocolate and shortening into a microwave-safe bowl and cook 1-2 minutes or until melted. Stir until smooth. Dip one side of each pretzel into the chocolate to coat. Sprinkle with the toppings. Lay each pretzel on a wax paper-covered cookie sheet. Refrigerate for 20 minutes or until the chocolate hardens. May refrigerate up to 3 weeks. Yield: 24 servings
